Check this out, It's Christmas!

This whole thing really pisses me off, don't ask me what it is or to point to it, because it's all over us, around us. It's in the people, it's in your phone, it's in all this conversations, and maaan, I just want to smoke a big one and get away from all this pile of shit, that believe me, stinks so much and is splashing everywhere.
The world has gone upside down, we are going down on a fucking bullet train and there's another one on the same tracks heading to us, we don't stop even knowing we are going to crash so badly. War, police brutality, unemployment, corruption, dead children in the tabloids, racism and shit that it was supposed be sorted by 2015 it's still our everyday bread. I'm Spanish and I've been living in London for 6 years because I can't come back, god knows I really want to come back, but even knowing this city is a shit hole full of coke-heads-banker-full-of-shit, the rents are insane and the government is a fascist muppets show run by the high conservative high class YOU HAVE TO REMAIN HERE. You might ask yourself, WHY? I'll tell you why, because here you can fucking work. You can work, you can have a temporary contract (if you are lucky), an amazing minimum wage and work as hard as you ever work in your life to pay your crazy expensive room in zone 300. If you are lucky enough to speak a little bit of the language and to not complain and say yes to everything your manager says you can choose within a huge selection of opportunities like being a kitchen porter doing 12 hour washing dishes, catering jobs where people will fuck your ass so hard you won't be the same again, call centres, non paid internships... the world looks tough, isn't it? Don't get me wrong, I love the UK as much as I love Spain, I'm not ashamed to say it, I've met and I'm still meeting loads of friends and amazing people, but there's always the same old story about the ones in the top pushing us so hard we can barely see the slaps ahead.
My point is, I've been aware of the news so much lately I'm getting sick and there's a constant bad mood in the back of my head. We got elections in Spain at the end of Dec and my country denied me the vote because I was late 1 month and half before the elections. They fascists are so scared of us leaving the country that don't want to hear of us, we are not part of their plan. I don't know where I belong sometimes, I feel like Tom Hanks in that movie where he got stuck in an airport and couldn't leave at all, The Terminal??

I'm taking holidays really soon, can't wait, Merry Christmas everyone!
here's some good stuff, enjoy!

SABBATH AND DRUMS

There's something about weed that slows things up. First We all listened to punk rock and inspires you to say fuck off to everyone in your boring town. After a while your friend brings up his dad's Black Sabbath Paranoid CD, rolls a massive splif for 10, burned it down and your head blasts all over the room, small pieces of brain everywhere and Ozzy biting your cats head off. You realize that SLOW IS GOOD, you realize that maybe the old stuff is not pathetic and you have dreams about Iron Man. I loved it!
Because of slow and being stoned then you start paying attention on how cool are drums and the bass! Drums and bass are the best! I personally play guitar and sometimes I regret not playing drums in a doom band. As Rollins says in the Black Sabbath documentary, Rhythm section is the most important part of a band, ok kids? Think twice everytime you make one of the boring pro-wanker-musician jokes about bassists, drummers and light bolts. Please.
Anyway, After that I just wanted to put some cool stuff, really cheers you up, after working with nutheads this really works, believe me!

H. GRIMACE

This is so good and I hope you get so obsessed with this track as much as I do. H. Grimace are one of the best live bands I've seen recently, they really care about songs, yeah! they really do. Just play cavepaint and you will listen to it thousand times, trying to digest such experience. After this last months of general disconformity and personal experiences of unemployment and almost homeless this songs got inside my skull, scratch my spine and soft my eyeballs. The video it's quite interesting actually, images that keep the rhythm and beautify the eye, a little bit clean and polished in my opinion but an amazing work in general, those hammer bangs are really cool. Anyway, not long ago Tom from one of my London favs Gloss Rejection told me, as something like to be aware, to check the new H. Grimace stuff as it was the best he was ever heard for a while, oh boy, how right he was, it really does!

Go on kids, judge by yourself:

Winter's remedy

2014 it's been such a weird year, so many changes affecting my personality on different way. Personal and musical, personal's just shit but musically one of the bands I was playing, the first one in my London live when on hiatus at some point before summer (can't remember now) and I've been kind of lost for a while, luckily enough I started Flemmings (my other band) along my good friends Mads and Jez and my whole musical taste and songwriting looks that is changin... again...yes... weirdo, isn't it?
I started getting into Hardcore, metal, loads of Melvins, spent evenings listening to the Pussy Galore and smoking a whole pack of fags, I feel being 18 again. I'm fucking 28 and that makes me think if I got already to my musical pick... I don't really know, but it feels sooooo good. Check this out if you haven't, pure rock n roll chaotic magic

On your own

Be yourself
Be yourself
Be yourself
Easy to understand, isn't it?
I'm already being myself,
I say so
everytime,
I tell to my parents,
I tell to my friends,
I tell to my girlfriend,
I tell to my boyfriend,
I post it on Facebook,
I post on Twitter,
and then I refresh,
refresh,
refresh,
And then I compare myself
with everyone else
and fall into hype,
and then I feel lonely
And don't
recognize
myself

This is what I´ve been listening for the last months, people making their own thing, take it or leave it:

Royal Atlas

Actual Crimes

Giant Burger

Kogumaza

Charla Fantasma

**Playlounge**

For those who don't know about Playlounge and they live in the UK let me ask you a question, where have you been??? Whats wrong with you? I know them for a couple of years as far as I know they're are always non-stop, playing everywhere, playing every week, writing and releasing new songs all the time. It's Sept 2014 and they even had time to release an Album, yes, a proper Album and a Split. If you know how much work there is behind releasing a record you'd scared as hell. And do not forget that everyone of us got a shitty day job to deal with. If this is not loving music get me out of here.

Playlounge are Laurie and Sam, they are young, very talented, hard workers and one of the nicest people I had the privilege to meet through this whole music scene. I know this could sound very personal and everyone might have different reactions but their songs always brings me memories from the back of my skull, long days home alone, comic books, girls, dreams.

Did I say that they're extremely talented? Ok, I will say it again, they play with their heart out, Sam singing is passionate, fervent and raw, plus... he fuckin plays drums at the same time!! and what a drumming... you could tell that he's totally breathing and sweating every single piece of the song. If you mix all of this with a wall of Laurie's guitars you got the Playlounge experience. I've seen them tons of times and they always play with the same passion and energy, can't believe it.

Pilot is their first full length record, sounds tremendously cool, and every single song can be your favourite song. I'm not very good on describing music, that's why is music, you have to listen to it, so.. will you?

ILLEGAL DOGS on fire at Power Lunches 17/06/14

It's about time to let you know, actually I should have post it here before, but since I'm a dickhead working 40 hours a week and living in a low middle class one bedroom apartment with my lovely Elsa down in South London I haven't got that much time for blogging, I've spent it writting songs, playing Zelda and dealing with Real State Agencies.
As you might know (probably not, no one really cares) 17th June it'll be my birthday, and as few people now, I started a new band few months ago with my very good friends Mads from Sock Puppets and Jess from Ace Bushy Striptease, an amazing drummer. We are called Flemmings and this is our first demo.

Facebook event

If by any chance you are around London this Tuesday 17th June come along and you'll enjoy Flemmings, Joya, The Wharves and Slowcoaches, even though I've already wrote about them you gotta listen to me and give 'em a go. NOW. They're all are my favourite London bands so far, you don't need words when you can listen some tunes:

Sorry to JOYA as I didn't find any youtube source and bandcamp doesn't allow me to embed the music player but I've linked all bandcamps up there! See you there even if I'm just posting this for myself!

I_I

Hola. I'm back, yeah, I've been always here in a different Firefox tab. I'm sorry if I haven't updated this site that much in the last... year?? Shit, that's a hell of lack.
As far as I remember the beginning of my internet's life (aprox 2000 - 2000) everything was quite chilled and fun, after school it was the new thing, you had to wait luckily enough 5 - 10 min to download a Nirvana mp3, and if you wanted to interact you had an amazing thing called IRC. But right now personally I have the internet all around my day by day routine, at work, at my phone, at home... 24/7... and You better check twitter every 4 - 5 hours! otherwise you'll get lost or you'll spend the next 30 min just catching up, same with Facebook. Too much information from every last one of them, too many photos of breakfast and cats and parks and fucking shinny days. Leave me alone. Are we naturally selfish?? Of course.

Well, after this statement I want to let you know I don't hate you, probably you're sort of indifferent to me which I don't really give a shit about you. I fucking love to catch up with ilegalDogs and I'll promise you (non existent readers) that I'll keep you update, upload some playlists and share some new music.

My friend Mads love this:   <== click on "Mads" and listen the best song of this decade so far

I'm really looking forward to catch them live, they've released a bunch of really good Ep's. You better don't miss m out

PS: If anyone knows where Thurston Moore lives in London let me know, I'm trying to write a song ripping of Tv Personalities 'I know where Syd Barret live' with Mr. Moore on it. Or if you're Thurston Moore reading this, Thurston, you wanna make a band with me??
